I think itβs really important to learn to spend time alone. πΏ
I donβt just mean downtime, relaxing and watching tv or reading a book, those are always great options, but more so getting out alone. Hanging out with yourself, going for a morning walk, taking yourself out to coffee, setting up a hammock and sitting by a creek, going and buying your favorite dinner, whatever work for you, ya know?
When is the last time you treated yourself to something like that? Did something purely for YOU?
It is SO important to learn that you can be your own friend, there is value in getting to know yourself.
Whatβs your favorite things to do with yourself? If this isnβt something you normally do, I encourage you to find some time these next few days and give it a try π
I really should clean my desk before the New Year arrives tonight, but I’m also 1 week out from a major exam… The pre-exam mess and stress is real. I don’t ever do New Year’s resolutions since I’m an inpatient Aries who would rather start things as soon I think of them! However, reflecting upon everything today, I think I’ll make my resolution this:
I will be conscious of what I eat, and exercise more.
So what does this mean exactly? Am I about to turn into a health/fitness blog? No lol. I know that healthy eating and exercise has positive impacts on my mental health, which inevitably helps me approach my schoolwork with a much clearer mind. Dealing with anxiety this year, my concentration, memory and energy levels were greatly affected to the point where I was falling asleep at my desk. I’ve since tweaked my planning system to accommodate the fatigue, which has helped a lot, but I’m ready to continue this journey and do my best work yet next year. Watch out, guys!
